Zapping the brain to fight alcohol cravings

Summary

This study is testing whether a non-invasive brain stimulation technique can reduce the intense cravings experienced by people with alcohol dependence. Participants will receive 15 brief magnetic stimulation sessions over five days. Researchers will measure changes in their self-reported cravings, physical reactions to alcohol cues, and brain activity to see if the treatment helps.
