Tiny brain stent trial aims to stop strokes before they happen
NCT ID NCT07352852
Summary
This study is testing a small, drug-coated tube (stent) placed inside a narrowed brain artery to keep it open and prevent future strokes. It will enroll 300 adults who have already had stroke symptoms and whose narrowed arteries haven't improved with medication alone. Researchers will track patients for a year to see if the stent safely prevents more strokes or death.
