New hope for kids with devastating brain cancer: trial tests 'Living Drug' made from their own cells

NCT ID NCT03396575

Summary

This early-stage trial tested a personalized treatment for children with a rare and aggressive brain tumor called DIPG. The goal was to see if a patient's own immune cells, trained to attack their tumor, could be safely given after radiation therapy. Researchers wanted to learn if this approach could help control the disease and improve survival.
