Scientists scan brains to unlock secrets of 3-Minute depression treatment
NCT ID NCT05224206
Summary
This study aims to understand how a new, faster form of magnetic brain stimulation (iTBS) works to treat depression. Researchers will use PET and MRI brain scans to compare the effects of real treatment versus a sham (fake) treatment in 22 adults with major depression. The goal is to see how this 3-minute treatment changes brain activity and to find ways to predict who might benefit most from it.
