Scientists test new brain scan to see hidden protein clumps

NCT ID NCT06932809

Summary

This study is testing a new imaging tracer to see if it can safely highlight clumps of a specific protein called tau in the brain. Researchers will give the tracer to 90 people, including those with conditions like Progressive Supranuclear Palsy, Alzheimer's, and Parkinson's, as well as healthy volunteers. The main goal is to see where the tracer goes in the body and brain, and to gather initial data on whether it can detect tau in people with these diseases.
