Scientists map the Brain's vision network in eye disease patients
NCT ID NCT04648124
Summary
This study aims to understand how inherited retinal diseases, which cause vision loss, affect the brain's visual networks. Researchers will use MRI scans to map brain activity in 200 adult patients before and after they receive new artificial vision treatments, like retinal implants. The goal is to learn how the brain adapts when vision is restored or supported by technology.
