Scientists develop new brain scans to spot hidden diseases
NCT ID NCT06083467
Summary
This study aims to test new brain imaging methods to improve the diagnosis of several neurological conditions, including Parkinson's disease and certain dementias. Researchers will recruit 94 participants, some with these conditions and some healthy, from multiple U.S. medical centers. The main goal is to see if new types of PET scans can more accurately identify specific proteins in the brain that are linked to these diseases.
