New brain scan seeks clues to devastating neurological diseases
NCT ID NCT06032026
Summary
This study aims to test a new radioactive tracer for brain scans to see if it can detect and measure a specific abnormal protein linked to Multiple System Atrophy (MSA). Researchers will compare brain images from 70 people, including those with MSA, Parkinson's disease, Progressive Supranuclear Palsy, and healthy volunteers. The goal is to gather initial safety and imaging data to see if this tracer could one day help doctors better understand and diagnose these conditions.
