Scientists scan teen brains to unlock eating disorder treatment clues

NCT ID NCT05509257

Summary

This study aims to see if brain scans (fMRI) can detect how a medication called naltrexone affects the brain's reward system in adolescents with binge-eating or purging disorders. Researchers will compare brain activity after teens take either naltrexone or a placebo. The goal is to develop a tool to measure drug effects in the brain, which could help test future treatments.
