Scientists map the Brain's hope and fear signals in Parkinson's

NCT ID NCT07402928

Summary

This study aims to understand how the brain's reward system works by mapping 'optimistic' and 'pessimistic' signals. Researchers will compare brain scans of 140 people, including healthy participants and those with Parkinson's disease, while they play a simple money game. The goal is to see if changes in these signals help explain symptoms like apathy and learning difficulties in Parkinson's.
