First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 30 times
Summary
This study tests a new brain recording system (Brain Interchange) in up to 12 people with drug-resistant epilepsy who are already scheduled for brain monitoring. The system is used externally to see if it can detect special brain signals (high-frequency oscillations) better than current devices. The goal is to gather information to help develop a future implant that could deliver stimulation to prevent seizures.
