Scientists scan Kids' brains to uncover hidden stroke risks

NCT ID NCT04157179

Summary

This study aims to understand how blood flow and oxygen use in the brain affect its development in children and young adults. Researchers will use MRI scans on 350 participants, including healthy kids and those with conditions like sickle cell disease, to see how the brain's blood vessels respond to stress. The goal is to find early signs that might predict future brain injury or developmental problems.
