First seen Jan 07, 2026 · Last updated May 08, 2026 · Updated 22 times

Summary

This study looks at brain activity and structure in people with different types of focal dystonia (like writer's cramp or spasmodic dysphonia), their unaffected relatives, and healthy volunteers. The goal is to find distinct brain changes that cause these movement disorders. About 141 participants aged 21 to 80 will undergo brain scans and tests. This is an observational study, not a treatment trial.
