Scientists test if 'Messy' workouts wire your brain faster
NCT ID NCT06539650
Summary
This study aimed to understand how the brain and nervous system adapt to a single session of strength training with different pacing styles. Researchers tested 30 healthy men, comparing training with a steady beat, a variable 'fractal' beat, and self-paced training. They measured changes in brain and spinal cord signals to see if the variable pacing could speed up neural learning, which might be useful for future injury rehabilitation programs.
