First seen Apr 01, 2026 · Last updated May 04, 2026 · Updated 5 times

Summary

This study uses repeated MRI scans to track brain injury and growth in very premature babies (born before 33 weeks) while they are in the NICU. Researchers aim to understand when and why brain injuries happen and how the brain grows, so they can better identify babies at risk and tailor early therapies. The study involves 75 infants and will follow their development at age 2.
