New strategy tests radiation timing for brain tumors in lung cancer

Summary
This study is testing whether adding targeted radiation to the brain after three months of drug therapy works better than using the drug alone for people with a specific type of lung cancer that has spread to the brain. Researchers want to see if this combined approach helps control the brain tumors longer and improves quality of life. The study involves about 56 adults who have not had prior brain radiation.
