Scientists launch major brain metastasis study to crack Cancer's toughest puzzle

Summary
This research program aims to better understand how and why cancer spreads to the brain and spinal cord (CNS metastases) in patients with solid tumors like breast cancer, lung cancer, and melanoma. It will enroll 600 patients at high risk for this complication to collect detailed clinical data and analyze fluid from around the spine. The goal is to gather knowledge that can lead to the development of new and better treatment strategies in the future.
