Laser vs. medicine: new battle for recurrent brain tumors

Summary
This study is testing two different treatment approaches for brain tumors that have returned or worsened after initial radiation therapy. It compares a minimally invasive laser surgery (LITT) with or without repeat radiation to standard medical management. The goal is to see which approach better controls tumor growth and reduces the need for steroid medications in patients whose cancer has spread to the brain.
