Timing is everything: radiation before or after brain surgery?

Summary
This study compares two approaches to radiation treatment for brain tumors that have spread from other cancers. Researchers want to see if giving a single radiation treatment before surgery works better than giving five treatments after surgery to prevent cancer from spreading to the brain's lining. The trial will enroll 200 adults with brain metastases who are scheduled for tumor removal surgery.
