Scientists map thinking brain during live surgery

NCT ID NCT07170436

Summary

This study aims to create a detailed map showing which brain areas control different thinking skills like memory, language, and perception. Researchers will test 120 brain tumor patients before and during their awake surgeries to see how removing or stimulating specific areas affects their abilities. The goal is to better understand how our brains process information, which could help future patients preserve important functions during brain surgery.
