Scientists test if brain insulin spray changes how overweight bodies fight inflammation during workouts

NCT ID NCT07466173

Summary

This study aims to understand how insulin acting in the brain interacts with the immune system during physical activity, specifically in overweight individuals. Eight participants will complete cycling tests on different days, receiving either an insulin nasal spray or a placebo spray beforehand. Researchers will compare immune responses, physical performance, and nervous system activity between the two conditions to see if overweight people respond differently than lean individuals.
