Sound waves awaken brain injury patients?
NCT ID NCT07277309
Summary
This study explores whether gentle ultrasound waves directed at the brain can help patients with severe brain injuries who haven't fully regained consciousness. Researchers will measure changes in awareness and brain activity in 36 patients, while also interviewing family members about their hopes and concerns regarding this experimental technology. The goal is to gather information that could guide future treatments for consciousness disorders.
