Scientists search for hidden signs of consciousness in Brain-Injured patients
NCT ID NCT06406413
Summary
This study aims to learn more about patients with prolonged disorders of consciousness, such as those in a vegetative or minimally conscious state after a severe brain injury. Researchers will monitor tiny, subtle movements in response to emotional stimuli, along with brain scans, to better assess a patient's remaining level of awareness and predict their recovery. The goal is to improve diagnosis and understand how the brain functions after severe injury.
