New program aims to heal emotional scars after brain trauma
NCT ID NCT05157880
Summary
This study tests a 6-session support program for adults recently hospitalized with a sudden brain injury and their primary caregiver. The program, delivered partly in the hospital and partly via video calls after discharge, aims to prevent long-term emotional distress, anxiety, and depression in both the patient and the person caring for them. Researchers want to see if building coping skills together improves their recovery and quality of life.
