Silent threat: scans probe hidden brain inflammation from clogged arteries
NCT ID NCT05238961
Summary
This study aimed to understand if people with blocked neck arteries (carotid stenosis) but no symptoms have hidden brain inflammation. Researchers planned to use a special PET scan to measure this inflammation in two groups: those with severe blockages and those with mild blockages. The study was withdrawn before any participants were enrolled.
