Scientists hunt for hidden clues in rare brain diseases
NCT ID NCT06870838
Summary
This study aims to understand the role of brain inflammation in frontotemporal lobar degeneration, a group of rare brain diseases that cause dementia. Researchers will use advanced brain scans, blood tests, and spinal fluid analysis in 110 participants, including patients and healthy individuals at risk. The goal is to find biological markers that can help track disease progression and distinguish between different types of the condition.
