Brain scans seek clues to prevent epilepsy after head trauma
NCT ID NCT03999164
Summary
This study aims to understand if brain inflammation after a serious head injury increases the risk of developing epilepsy. Researchers will use special PET brain scans on 30 adults at two weeks and two months after their injury to measure this inflammation. The goal is to gather knowledge that could one day help predict or prevent post-traumatic epilepsy.
