Brain scans could predict epilepsy after serious head injuries
NCT ID NCT03999164
Summary
This study aims to understand if brain inflammation after a moderate-to-severe head injury can predict who will develop epilepsy later. Researchers will use special PET brain scans on 30 adult participants at two weeks and two months after their injury. The goal is to gather knowledge that could one day help identify high-risk patients earlier.
