First seen Jan 06, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 16 times
Summary
This study looks at inflammation in the brain after a moderate to severe head injury. Researchers use special PET scans to measure inflammation at two weeks and two months after the injury. They want to see if the amount of inflammation is linked to the risk of developing epilepsy later. The study involves 30 adults with traumatic brain injury.
