Brain wash trial aims to slash deadly Infection's high death rate

Summary
This study is testing whether washing the brain's fluid-filled spaces with a saline solution can help people with a severe brain infection called ventriculitis. Researchers will compare this surgical technique to standard antibiotic treatment in 310 adults to see if it leads to better recovery, fewer deaths, and less long-term disability. The goal is to find a more effective way to control this dangerous infection that currently has very poor outcomes.
