NCT ID NCT03161067

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Apr 18, 2026 · Updated 20 times

Summary

This early study is testing a new brain implant system designed to help people with paralysis in all four limbs. The implant records brain signals to control a device, like a robotic arm, and can also send artificial touch sensations back to the brain. The main goals are to check if the system is safe to use for about a year and to see if it helps participants control an assistive device.
