First seen Oct 31, 2025 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 32 times

Summary

This study uses a special PET scan to measure levels of an enzyme called PDE4B in the brains of people with major depressive disorder (MDD) and healthy volunteers. Researchers want to see if people having a depressive episode have lower PDE4B levels. The study involves up to 5 visits, including brain MRI and PET scans, and may help understand the biology of depression.
