NCT ID NCT07569120

First seen May 12, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 2 times

Summary

This study aims to understand how a specific part of the brain's chemical system (the noradrenergic system) changes with healthy aging and in Parkinson's disease. Researchers will use advanced PET and MRI scans to take detailed pictures of the brain in 165 volunteers, including healthy adults aged 20-80 and people with Parkinson's. The goal is to link these brain changes to thinking, memory, and movement abilities, helping to improve future diagnosis and treatment.
