Scientists scan brains to unlock Schizophrenia's energy secrets
NCT ID NCT06236048
Summary
This study aims to understand how brain energy use and chemicals differ in people with schizophrenia compared to healthy volunteers. Researchers will use advanced brain scans to measure glucose usage, lactate levels, and glutamate activity in 75 participants. The goal is to gather knowledge about the brain's biology in schizophrenia, not to test a new treatment.
