Scientists scan brains to see if special diet helps Alzheimer's
NCT ID NCT06767124
Summary
This study aims to understand how brain energy use changes in Alzheimer's disease and whether a ketogenic dietary supplement can improve it. Researchers will use combined PET and MRI scans to measure how the brain uses glucose and oxygen in 17 participants, including both healthy adults and those with Alzheimer's. The goal is to develop better imaging methods to study brain health in aging, not to directly treat symptoms.
