Summary

This study places special electrodes on the brain surface of people who have had severe traumatic brain injury and need surgery. The goal is to record and locate abnormal brain waves called cortical spreading depolarizations. The research involves 10 participants and uses brain scans to understand where these waves come from. It does not test a treatment, but aims to improve knowledge about brain injury.
