Brain drainage surgery shows fleeting hope for Alzheimer's patients
NCT ID NCT07294885
Summary
This study is testing whether a small neck surgery can temporarily improve thinking and daily function in people with Alzheimer's disease. The surgery aims to help drain fluid from the brain. Researchers will compare the real surgery to a sham procedure in 50 patients to see if the short-term benefits are real or just a side effect of anesthesia.
