Brain injection trial offers hope for most severe autism cases

NCT ID NCT07433517

Summary

This early study is testing the safety of a new treatment called VGN-Ex05e for children with autism who have severe, dangerous behaviors like self-injury and aggression that haven't improved with other therapies. Doctors will inject the treatment directly into a specific part of the brain. The main goal is to see if this procedure is safe and tolerable, while also checking if it helps reduce these challenging behaviors.
