Doctors test direct brain injection to fight advanced cancer spread
NCT ID NCT05598853
Summary
This early-stage study is testing whether injecting cancer-fighting drugs directly into the fluid around the brain and spine, along with standard IV treatment, can help control cancer that has spread to those areas. The trial involves 26 adults with advanced lung cancer or melanoma that has spread to the brain's protective lining. Researchers want to find the safest dose and see if this combined approach shows promise against these difficult-to-treat cancers.
