Brain cancer breakthrough? radiation seeds implanted during surgery could extend survival

NCT ID NCT07195591

Summary

This study is testing whether placing tiny radiation seeds (GammaTile) directly into the brain during tumor removal surgery helps people with newly diagnosed glioblastoma live longer compared to standard treatment. The trial will enroll 766 adults who are medically fit for surgery and standard chemotherapy. Researchers will compare survival, cancer progression, side effects, and quality of life between the two treatment approaches.
