New hope for kids with recurrent brain tumors: testing a targeted drug delivery

NCT ID NCT02774421

Summary

This early-phase study is testing a new way to treat children whose brain cancer (ependymoma) has come back. Researchers are giving a targeted drug directly into the spinal fluid, along with an immune-boosting shot, to see if the drug reaches the tumor and to check for side effects. The goal is to find a safe dose and see if this approach could help control the disease.
