New scan aims to sharpen target for brain cancer radiation

NCT ID NCT06451042

Summary

This study tested whether a newer type of brain scan (FET-PET/MRI) could more accurately map the remaining tumor after surgery compared to the standard MRI scan. The goal was to see if this could help doctors better target radiation therapy, potentially improving treatment effectiveness and reducing side effects. Eleven adults with a type of aggressive brain cancer (glioblastoma) who had just undergone surgery participated.
