Brain vein blood draw could replace risky biopsies
NCT ID NCT07467109
Summary
This study is testing whether drawing blood directly from veins inside the brain is safe and can provide the same detailed cancer information as traditional surgical biopsies. Researchers will enroll 20 adults with suspected or confirmed high-grade brain tumors who already need a standard diagnostic brain scan. The goal is to see if this 'liquid biopsy' method can accurately detect cancer markers without requiring additional surgery.
