First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 30 times

Summary

This study looks at how the hormones estrogen and testosterone affect blood flow and energy use in the brain. Researchers will temporarily block these hormones in 50 healthy young men and women, then give them back to measure changes. The goal is to understand sex differences in brain health, which could lead to better treatments for conditions like stroke and dementia.
