Doctors test cheaper way to watch brain during risky liver transplants
NCT ID NCT07442214
Summary
This study aims to find a simpler and more affordable way to monitor blood flow to the brain during liver transplant surgery. Researchers are comparing a standard but expensive brain oxygen monitor against a more common and cheaper neck ultrasound method. The goal is to see if the ultrasound can provide similar information to help keep patients safe during this complex operation.
