Mapping baby brains: ultrasound study aims to protect preterm infants
NCT ID NCT07427342
Summary
This study aims to understand normal brain blood flow patterns in healthy full-term and premature newborns. Researchers will use a safe, non-invasive ultrasound scan to measure blood flow in the brain's main arteries during the first two days of life. The goal is to create standard reference values that can help doctors spot problems early and improve care for vulnerable infants, especially those born prematurely.
