Brain scan study maps bleeding patterns in vascular disease

NCT ID NCT05394636

Summary

This study examined brain scans of 111 patients with cerebral amyloid angiopathy (CAA), a condition where protein builds up in brain blood vessels. Researchers analyzed MRI images to understand where and how bleeding occurs in the cerebellum (the lower back part of the brain). The goal was to learn more about how bleeding spreads in this disease, not to test treatments.
