New procedure aims to stop recurring brain bleeds
NCT ID NCT04923984
Summary
This study is testing a procedure called EMMA to treat chronic subdural hematomas, which are slow brain bleeds. The procedure aims to block the small blood vessels feeding the bleed to help it heal and prevent it from coming back. It will be tested in up to 1,000 patients in Canada, either alone or alongside standard surgery.
