New brain surgery aims to save function after devastating stroke

Summary
This trial is testing whether a new, less invasive surgery performed soon after a severe brain bleed can help people recover better. It will compare this early surgery to the current best medical care in 750 patients. The main goal is to see if patients who get the surgery have better daily function and independence six months later.
