Race against time: new brain surgery aims to save function after severe bleeds

NCT ID NCT07260916

Summary

This study is testing whether performing a minimally invasive surgery to quickly remove a blood clot from the brain, in addition to standard medical care, leads to better recovery for people who have had a severe brain bleed. It will compare this combined approach to standard medical care alone in 300 patients. The goal is to see if faster clot removal improves patients' quality of life and reduces disability one year later.
